Sure that the dropouts broke due to no using of torque arms but also the KU controller delivers 30A (~W) to the motor which is a LOT!!. I received a spare controller for it today. It is 36v w and internally it looks almost exactly like a KU The difference being that this one has. I have redesigned the KU63 motor controller from BMSbattery. Here is the circuit: Don’t use the image above, download the circuit high.

There should be three: So I went looking for reliable controllers.
For breaking you can also try to feed power backwards into the battery. I figured I should at least try to get the remote drive up and running; I was pretty close last year!

Deleted member Guest Mar 25, It is 36v w and internally it looks almost exactly like a KU Nov 22, 29 murthly castle estate. And a project that needs two more. I can live with the PAS start, it’s mainly going to be used for testing. Last edited by casainho on Jul 01 The company says they don’t have a copy of the firmware, and don’t know if it’s possible I have already soldered a jumper wire so it can work without pedal assist and I have added a jumper so that it powers on when the battery is connected.
The colour probably changed from the green wire within the loom connections. Which must be the white nearest us in the photo.

Of course you have to adjust the speed and direction of the rotating field accordingly. The printf output over UART serial: The only one that’s fixed is the brake wire.
It’s a KU65 not a KU Q rear driving E-bike Hub Motor Voltage: There are other places where they’ve clearly optimized for cost reducing part count, particularly around the throttle. Similar projects worth following. Thanks for the reply John.

I think the issue is a wrong dead time between high side mosfets and low side, that short circuit the motor windings or mosfets a bit and that will boost the voltage thanks also to the capacitors on the board but also asks more current from the power supply and will make the noise on the motor.
LIGeek is organized by the same folks; they reached back out to ask if I’d be part of a panel on building these things. KU63 controller circuit board connections. Again, I found myself writing software that guessed at what the controller firmware was doing so that I got the result I wanted. Unfortunately it’s wired differently. This, I guess, is the moment when I decide how I’m going to move forward on that given that the original plan didn’t work out.
Looking back at the board photos that I posted earlier on this thread, I’ve got it on ZF. I need a reverse.
Unfortunately though, none of the photos showed clearly where the wires were connected on the board, and the diagrams were all circuit diagrams, with no circuit board layouts. My workflow will be like this: Yes, I should probably stop calling it “nameless” because ku3 clearly has a label. It has different software in it to the normal KU I can’t get it to spin the motor yet though.

They are dual silver conductors near the edge of the board, opposite the wire exit. I also documented the PWM signals including the dead time, please see here: The SD pad between the 5v reds and the negative blacks is seperate, with just the white stub on it, so I’ll take that as the throttle signal return. Is there a mod that can be done to clntroller KU65, so that throttle can be used from standstill, and yet still enable pas if switched on?
I am unsure what the pink wires do. Leave the three-speed connector disconnected. I believe A is what you’re after anyway.
